Hailed by The New York Times as "riveting and inspired," pianist Dan Tepfer
joined the Catskill Jazz Factory and Catskill Mountain Foundation for a performance of his Goldberg Variations/Variations, a stunning performance of J.S. Bach's masterpiece paired with Tepfer's own improvised variations.
In what The Wall Street Journal calls a "bridge across centuries and genres", the jazz pianist follows his performance of each of Bach's original Variations with an improvised jazz variation of his own.
Tepfer's performance was followed by a wine reception and Meet & Greet in the Doctorow Center for the Arts' piano museum.
