“...opening a whole new repertoire of classical guitar music.” -Evening Standard on Derek Gripper
Renowned guitarist Derek Gripper fuses a unique blend of influences and traditions into this masterclass of the instrument’s expressive and artistic capabilities. Highlighting the world’s musical breadth in every note he plays, Derek has emerged as one of the world’s greatest masters of the instrument. Audiences can anticipate a twisted take on their traditional understanding of solo guitar as Derek draws on the kora traditions of Mali, the many musical sounds of South Africa’s Western Cape, the rhythmically driven pulse of Brazilian styles, and beyond.
